Donations from Trustees, alumni, students and other supporters of the University helped raise $907,000 at the annual Scholarship Gala, Saturday in the Sheraton Fairplex conference hall. The night kicked off with a reception where select students, and guests mingled and snacked on hors d’oeuvres.

Roughly 100 faculty and staff members filled the Campus Center Ballroom A for the spring State of the University address and wine and cheese reception Thursday.

Snow blanketed the packed boxes the day the Mylott family moved out of their Virginia home. Sherri Mylott said to her husband, “This is why we’re really leaving.”
