Rice earns SCIAC honors

ULV wide receiver Anthony Rice was named SCIAC Offensive Player of the Week for his 211-yard performance against the Menlo Oaks last Saturday. Rice caught nine passes and scored two touchdowns to lead the Leos to a 42-38 victory.

Men’s soccer

By an interesting twist of fate, the men’s soccer team will be facing the same group of opponents in this week­end’s Trinity University Tournament that the women’s squad faced two weeks ago when they played in the same tournament. The opposing teams are Trinity and Southwestern Texas. The women lost both of their matches, but Men’s Head Coach Owen Wright says his team will hopefully improve on the women’s performance.
