Passover Seder
The University of La Verne will celebrate Seder, the traditional Jewish celebration commemorating the biblical exodus of the Hebrew slaves from bondage in Egypt. All students are welcome to join in the celebration on Tuesday, March 19, at 4:45 p.m. in the President’s Dining Room. The cost is $5.10 or a meal ticket. Sign up in the chapel or with Dr. Rhoda Kachuck, professor of English, at ext. 4351.
HIV/AIDS Testing
The Health Center is providing anonymous and confidential HIV/AIDS testing and counseling. On-campus testing will be held Wednesday, March 20, from 8-10 a.m. For appointments, contact the Health Center at ext. 4254.
Prism Deadline
Today is the final submission deadline for the spring issue of Prism. Students, faculty, staff and alumni may enter prose, poetry, original art and photos for consideration. Work may be submitted to the Prism boxes located in the Student Center, Miller Hall Lobby and outside Miller Hall 216.
Poetry Contest
“Awards of Poetic Excellence,” sponsored by Sparrowgrass Poetry Forum, is now accepting poems for entry. Interested poets may enter one poem, 20 lines or less, on any subject, in any style. Cash prizes totaling $1,000 will be awarded, including a $500 grand prize. Poems that are entered in the contest will also be considered for publication in the Fall 1996 edition of Poetic Voices of America. Poems should be sent to Sparrowgrass Poetry Forum Inc., Dept. CT, 203 Diamond St., Sisterville, WV 26175. The deadline is March 31.
ULV Coffeehouse
The Associated Students Federation (ASF) Forum will sponsor a coffeehouse with a live band in the Student Center on Tuesday, March 19, at 8 p.m. All students are welcome to attend.
Senior Retreat

Teacher Nominations
Nominations for the 1995-96 Teaching Awards are to be returned to Dr. Bill Cook in the Vice President’s office by March 22.
