Modern vocal jazz at Cal Poly

The Ellen Johnson Trio will perform at 8 p.m. on Oct. 26 in the Cal Poly Pomona Music Recital Hall. The trio will sing everything from folk, pop, blues and jazz to musical theater. The night will include songs from the trio’s new CD, “These Days.” General admission tickets are $10 and $7 for students. For more information call (909) 869-3554.

Voice in Action

Installation on Tall Wall

The artwork of artist Julia Latané, a unique blend of organic and synthetic materials that inspire dreamy ponderings, called “Hither,” will be on display in the Tall Wall Space in the Arts and Communications Building until Jan. 12. Prism seeks submissions

The Prism Review is now accepting art, photography, essays, poems, stories, plays, and other literary works from writers on and off campus, here and abroad, for its fall issue.

A special section of the magazine called “Remembering Jane Dibbell” also seeks work that pays tribute to the late associate professor of theater. In addition, the Limited Edition Chapbook Series No. 2 is accepting handwritten poems in their original form.
