Debate Competition

The ULV 2006 Intervarsity Fall Open Debating Championship will take place from 9:45 a.m to 6 p.m tomorrow in La Fetra Auditorium.

The event will include the participation of various universities and will help to prepare them for the upcoming World Universities Debating Championship.

KULV tickets

Win tickets to Big Bear Mountain Resort, a pair of passes to the Center Ice Skating Arena in Ontario or a copy of AFI’s single “Love like Winter.”

Listen to KULV during the week of Dec. 4 – 7 and call Ext. 4777 when you hear the sound of people ice skating for your chance to win.

Commuter Day

The Campus Activities Board along with ASULV will be sponsoring Commuter Day from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the University Mall.

“The circus is coming” is the theme, and the first 200 commuters eat free.

Winter Wonderland

Heritage Park will host La Verne’s annual Winter Wonderland on Dec. 9. There will be a variety of events for children up to the age of 12. There will be two 60-foot snow runs and two huge snow playland with real snow. Dress the kids for the snow. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand for pictures. Tickets are $10. Tree Lighting

The annual Christmas Tree lighting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday Dec. 4 in front of La Verne City Hall. The tree lighting will be held before the City Council meeting. There will be entertainment provided as well as a visit from Santa Claus.

Toy Drive

The Campus Activities Board will be holding a holiday toy drive Dec. 1-11. There will be various drop off points on the ULV main campus. The toys will go to the Olive Crest Home in Riverside.

The Campus Activities Board showed the 1985 film “The Breakfast Club” in the La Fetra Lecture Hall on Tuesday. The event consisted of many food options, including a build your own mini-pancake bar, a variety of breakfast burritos, an iced coffee bar and a hot chocolate bar.

The Campus Activities Board, in a two-part event, hosted Pride Bingo on Tuesday evening at the Quay Davis Executive Board Room.
