Sketch Day with Kim Tucker
The American Museum of Ceramic Art is hosting a sketch day with “Breaking Ground: Women in California” artist Kim Tucker. Visitors will be able to share tips on how to overcome artist’s block and have time to creatively respond to some sculptural forms. Paper and pencils will be provided. The sketch day is noon to 3 p.m., Saturday at AMOCA, at 399 N. Garey Ave. in Pomona. Admission is $5 to $15.

‘Ink and Clay’
The Kellogg Art Gallery at Cal Poly Pomona is showing “Ink and Clay 45 – The Art of Type,” an on-site exhibition and annual nationwide competition consisting of works of ink and clay.
The show runs through Nov. 17.
The gallery is open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays, and noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Admission is free.
Cafe Con Libros Press
Chukaruka, an online cultural shop, will be hosting a sugar skull workshop from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m on Saturday at Cafe Con Libros Press in Pomona, at 280 W. Ground Zero Open Mic
Stand up comedian Zero Rimpson will host an open mic, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m today at the Shaun Diamond Plaza across the street from the Glass House in downtown Pomona, at 197 W. Second St. Admission is free.
‘An Artful Reframing’
“An Artful Reframing: Expanding Our ULV Story Through an Inclusive Voice” is an art exhibit and collaborative effort among University researchers and artists to present a more inclusive understanding of University of La Verne’s history, heritage, and identity.
An exhibit talk will be held in the Campus Center Ballroom from noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 24. Light snacks will be provided, and community members will also be able to join on Zoom at
