Faculty lecture
Robert Barrett, professor of law and business, will present a lecture at noon on Monday in the President’s Dining Room. The lecture, titled “Business Law and Business Ethics: New-Media Approaches” is sponsored by the Faculty Research Committee and La Verne Academy. Admission is free.
Administrative restructuring
President Stephen Morgan announced an organizational restructuring of the University of La Verne’s upper administration. Homa Shabahang, current vice president for enrollment management, will become vice provost and report to Provost Greg Dewey. Additionally, Steve Lesniak, dean of the Regional and Online Campuses; Loretta Rahmani, dean of student affairs; Julie Kline, athletic director; and Leatha Webster, director of financial aid will now report directly to Dewey.
Multicultural celebration
Two multicultural graduation ceremonies will be held Saturday. The African American Graduation Celebration will begin at 10 a.m. in the Sports Science and Athletics Pavilion, followed by the Latino/Latina Graduation Celebration at 3 p.m.
