Presidents break ground for new dorm

Construction began last week on the largest structure ever built on the University of La Verne campus. President Steve Morgan and President-Select Devorah Lieberman stand together linking the University of La Verne’s past to its future as they participate in the groundbreaking of the new residence hall on March 31. The new residence hall, at D and Second streets, is due to open in the fall of 2012 and will have space for 387 students. Facilities to spend summer safeguarding science labs following gas leak

Early in the morning on April 30, students in Founders and Mainiero halls were evacuated due to a gas leak, after the fire alarm was pulled. The fire department arrived quickly to resolve the issue.
