The Center for Multicultural Services kicked off its three-day annual Diversity Retreat last Friday via Zoom with around 30 participants in all, including undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff. 

The Black community at the University of La Verne was welcomed with the Rites of Passage, a traditional African spiritual ritual at noon Sept. 18 via Zoom. 

Local frustrations reached a boiling point when La Verne residents filled the community center last Thursday night to meet the candidates running for city government positions this election season.

Alexandra Burrel started recently as assistant director for the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
