Hypnotist casts comic spell

Boston-based comedy hypnotist David Hall performed before a modest, but enthusiastic crowd Monday in La Fetra Lecture Hall.

Paul Ramsy hypnotizes junior education studies major Cassandra Godinez, freshman undeclared major Taylor Cumming, freshman speech communications major Sarah Osuna, freshman biology major Shay Duffy, freshman biology major Gabrielle Thomas and junior biology major Brynn Dahmer to sleep Monday at LaFetra. Hosted by the Campus Activity Board, the six students were hypnotized into competing in a Guitar Hero championship, performing a ballet and pretending they smelled their favorite scent.

Campus Activities Board featured hypnotist Paul Ramsay for an entertaining and interactive show Monday night in LaFetra Lecture Hall. Ramsay’s show “Mind Games” relied on audience participation for a memorable night.

Hypnotist Mark Maverick found his way to the University of La Verne for one of the events sponsored by the Campus Activities Board. Freshman Paul Clark, freshman Ashlyn Cross, freshman Andrew Perotti, freshman Destinee Sales and sophomore Eldric Rabago were among the 14 students that were hypnotized. Hypnotist Michael Mezmer uses the Archimedes Spiral to hypnotize a group of University of La Verne students. Mezmer has been a credentialed hypnotist since graduating from the Hypnotism Training Institute of Glendale in 1992.
