Faculty Recital

Carol Stephenson and Timothy Durkovic will perform a faculty recital at 8 p.m., tonight in Founders Auditorium. Admission is $5 for the public and students are free.

Theatre

“A Night of Latin Influence with La Llorona,” the senior acting thesis of Veronica Estrada, will be presented at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Saturday and Sunday in ULV’s Dailey Theatre. Admission is $3 for students and $5 for the public.

Fairplex Events

The Fairplex is hosting a Super Chevy Show from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., today and tomorrow and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday at the Drag Strip. Admission is $20 for one day, $30 for two days and $35 for a three day pass.

The Country Music Round Up, featuring Mark Chestnutt, Joe Diffie and Tracy Lawrence, will be from noon to 9:30 p.m., Sunday at the Fairplex Infield. An all day ticket is $35.

Also at the Fairplex is the NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt. The quilt will be displayed from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m, Saturday and Sunday in Building 3. Admission is free.

Movies

“X2: X-Men United,” staring Halle Berry, Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart starts nationwide today. New mutants add to Professor Xavier’s already tough crew of crime fighters.

Also in theaters today is “The Dancer Upstairs,” directed by John Malkovich and “The Lizzie McGuire Movie,” starring Hilary Duff.
