Dear Editor,
Several of our students, including Melly Ramirez, helped some elderly people at the Michael Ryan concert on March 5. They did this without being asked and without knowing that one of the people in the group is Michael Ryan’s brother.
They did not get the names of other students who helped them, but this is an example of how great our students are – they truly live our mission of community service. This attendee was impressed enough to call me because I am Melly’s adviser; I am so proud that these young people represent the University of La Verne.
