Dear Editor,
It always saddens me that some of our students don’t learn the history that they need to become responsible adults. Erin Konrad’s column “Inside the mind of a jury member” (May 2) shows that she is not aware of the many millions of people who have died to give her the right to sit on an American jury. I hope she is ignorant of history rather than uncaring because there are also millions of people who would gladly take her place in that day that she feels was “wasted.”
