‘Born Again’ on display

Photographer Dave Jordano’s work “Born Again: African-American Community Churches in Chicago” will be on display in the Irene Carlson Gallery until Dec 3. The display is a mix of photos taken in front of African-American storefront churches. The event is free. For more information call (909) 593-3511, Ext. 4285.

Installation on Tall Wall

The artwork of artist Julia Latané, a unique blend of organic and synthetic materials that inspire dreamy ponderings, called “Hither,” will be on display in the Tall Wall Space in the Arts and Communications Building until Jan. 12. Admission is free.

Prism seeks submissions

The Prism Review is now accepting art, photography, essays, poems, stories, plays and other literary works from writers on and off campus, here and abroad, for its fall issue.

A special section of the magazine called “Remembering Jane Dibbell” also seeks work that pays tribute to the late associate professor of theater.

In addition, the Limited Edition Chapbook Series No. 2 is accepting handwritten poems in their original form. The deadline is Nov. 1.

‘What She Said’

The music department will present “What She Said,” featuring Carol Stephenson, soprano; Rik Noyce, flute; and Jacqueline Petitto, piano; as part of its concert series, at 8 p.m. Saturday in Founders Auditorium. General admission is $5. Students are admitted free.
