The class of 1994’s $4,000 gift to the University of La Verne arrived Monday in the form of the University’s mascot, the leopard. The sculptured leopard can be found in Sneaky Park atop a specially designed stone base. The sculpture was made by Berkeley resident, Sarita Camille Waite, who responded to an ad placed by the University seeking a sculptor. This particular gift has taken longer to be made and delivered to the University due to its time consuming development. / photo by Isela Peña
