The University of La Verne’s Associated Students Forum met Wednesday, Feb. 23 in the West Dining Room at 9:12 a.m. The forum attended to the discharge of business and largely therein to the passing of two resolutions.
Due to technical difficulties in printing candidate applications, President Frank Tolentino said that students seeking vice-presidential or secretarial positions in the forum will have until Tuesday, Feb. 29, to submit their information.
Junior Mario Guerrero was present at the meeting as the only current candidate for the position of vice-president of activities.
The Forum voted to allot $4,500 to allow for up to 10 students to travel to New York to take part in the Model United Nations conference.
After a request was presented by Interfraternal Council and Panhellenic Council representative Manuel Escalante, the forum voted to co-sponsor the attendance of student delegates at the Western Regional Greek Conference in April. ASF allotted $650 to help allow one member from each greek organization at ULV to attend the conference.
