Pomona resident collides with train

A 31-year-old Pomona resident drove her Suzuki sport utility vehicle into the side of a Metrolink train at 4:12 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. The train was traveling at approximately 45-50 mph as it approached the corner of Fairplex and Walnut Street, where the accident took place. The driver, Zaijun Swartz, who is pregnant, suffered a broken nose and a few minor scratches. There were no injuries to the passengers on the train. / photo by Matt Wright
