Photo Exhibit

Photographs from “East Side Stories: Gang Life in East L.A.” and “Juvenile” by Joseph Rodriguez will be on display in the Carlson Gallery in Miller Hall. The exhibit runs from Aug. 27 to Oct.12. The reception will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 24.

‘Visible’

“Visible” is a group exhibition in the Harris Gallery featuring Los Angeles artists Joe Biel, Patrick Lee, Mark Dean Veca and Eric Yahnker. Veca and Yahnker draw upon on pop culture figures to create visual absurdities, while Lee and Biel focus on head shot portraits. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

‘Raisin in the Sun’

The theater department’s fall play, “Raisin in the Sun,” focuses on the financial and personal struggles of a poor African American family. The play will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 20, 22, 27, 28 and 29 in the Dailey Theatre. General admission is $10, $8 for staff, and $5 for students.

Record Expo

KSPC will host a CD and Record Expo on Sunday, featuring their disc jockeys. Vendors will be selling records, CDs and other music merchandise. Doors open at 10 a.m. at Smith Campus Center Ball­room on the campus of Pomona College in Clare­mont. Admission is $2. For more information visit kspc.org.

The Used

The Used will perform along with Twin Atlantic and Stars In Stereo on Tuesday at the Fox Theatre in Pomona. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $26 in advance and $28.50 at the door. For more information visit foxpomona.com.
