AAUP Meeting

The University of La Verne’s chapter of the American Association of University Professors will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in room 142 of the College of Business and Public Management Building. The AAUP’s purpose and mission, according to its website, is to advance academic freedom and shared governance and to define fundamental values and standards in higher education. All full-time and adjunct faculty are invited to attend the meeting and to join the AAUP, to help revive La Verne’s chapter.

Memorial Day Ceremony

The University of La Verne will be joining the City of La Verne, La Verne Veterans Hall and other surrounding communities for a Memorial Day Ceremony from 11 a.m. to noon Monday at the La Verne Veterans Hall, located at 1550 Bonita Ave. Light refreshments will be offered following the ceremony.

Golf Fundraiser

The annual Swinging for Student Scholarships, one of the main fundraisers for student scholarships at the University of La Verne, will be held at the Industry Hills Golf Club June 6, with the last day to register being May 23.
