‘Thank You for Your Service’ 

David Finkel, author of “Thank You for Your Service,” this year’s choice for One Book, One University, will visit campus Wednesday for two events.

Finkel will deliver a students-only lecture at 11:45 a.m. in the Athletics Pavilion, followed by a keynote lecture open to the public at 3:30 p.m. in Morgan Auditorium. 

Both events are free. 

‘In the Air’ 

The Carlson Gallery is currently featuring “In the Air,” a series of environmental photographs by Christine Carr. The exhibit runs through Oct. 21. 

Admission is free. 

‘Secrets for the Moon’ 

The Harris Gallery exhibit “Secrets for the Moon,” featuring the works of Ichiro Irie and Lorenzo Hurtado Segovia, runs through Oct. 25. 

Admission is free. 

‘Bonnie and Clyde’ 

“Bonnie and Clyde,” a musical described as sexy and thrilling with a score of blues, gospel and rock, will run through Oct. 13 at the Candlelight Pavilion at 455 West Foothill Blvd. in Claremont.

Andres Espinoza Band 

As part of the Sundays at the Morgan concert series, Andres Espinoza Agurto, a composer, musical director and percussionist, will perform at 6 p.m. Oct. 21 in the Morgan Auditorium. 

There will be a suggested donation. 

Halloween Zines

Wilson Library will hold an event to create your own Halloween-themed zine with materials provided at noon Oct. 29. 

Admission is free.

Candlelight Pavilion prepares for its final curtain

The Candlelight Pavilion, a dinner theater in Claremont, will close its doors permanently on March 20 after 37 years, which included productions of "Cats," "My Fair Lady" and Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story," among many others.
