‘The Little Mermaid’

The Inland Pacific Ballet’s original production of Hans Christian Anderson’s story of “The Little Mermaid” will feature puppets and ballet dancing on April 27 and 28 at Bridges Auditorium in Claremont.

‘Bright Star’

The Candlelight Pavilion in Claremont will feature Broadway’s “Bright Star,” which tells a story of love, loss and redemption during the 1920s and 1940s set in the deep South featuring a Grammy-nominated score.

‘Best of La Verne’

An annual tradition the music department, will feature a collaboration of faculty and students as they come together to display their various talents.

The performance will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. May 5 in Morgan Auditorium.

Claremont Orchestra

The Claremont Symphony Orchestra will host a free concert directed by Robert Sage in honor of its 66th season.  The concert will be from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. May 5 at the Bridges Hall of Music at 150 E. Fourth Street in Claremont.

‘Machinal’

The theater department will present the play “Machinal” at 7:30 p.m. May 1-5 and at 2 p.m. May 5 at Daily Theatre.

The suggested donation for admission is $5 for students and $15 for the general public.

Cáfe con Libros in downtown Pomona will host an event that welcomes writers to write in a welcoming environment at 6 p.m. April 28.

In the Bridges Hall of Music at Pomona College, the Pomona College Orchestra performed three pieces at their concert on Nov. 20. The orchestra’s sound was a well rounded ensemble that had the audience members engaged in their melodic rhythms and harmonies.
