AAIC name change

The American Armenian International College building was officially renamed to the Leo Hall after the Board of Trustees recently approved the change.

The entry plaza to Leo Hall will be renamed the Armenian International Plaza and a plaque commemorating its history will be placed in the newly designated plaza.

Tutoring times

The Learning Enhancement Center will have some drop -in tutoring times available this week and next week for writing and math. Appointments are not necessary.

For writing, tutoring is available today from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon.

For math up to calculus III, tutoring will be available today from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

History of Poland

Everyone is invited to attend “America’s Friends: The Images of Poland” tomorrow from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon in La Fetra Hall.

The documentary film, “Warsaw Rising,” will be shown at 9:40 a.m. in La Fetra, the questions and answers session will be at 10:40 a.m. in La Fetra and the music of Chopin’s Nocturnes will be at 11:40 a.m. in Founders Auditorium.

Facilities to spend summer safeguarding science labs following gas leak

Early in the morning on April 30, students in Founders and Mainiero halls were evacuated due to a gas leak, after the fire alarm was pulled. The fire department arrived quickly to resolve the issue. 

Athletic gym renovation to be completed this summer

Materials have been left in preparation for renovations in the new athletic weight room in the Athletic Pavilion. In the meantime, student athletes must train outside near track and field where a temporary outdoor gym has been created.
