The University of La Verne Department of Music Presents “Piano Fest,” a dedicatory piano concert series. Kicking off the series tonight is pianist Timothy Durkovic, and featuring music by Haydn, Chopin, Leibman and Crumb. Showtime is at 8 p.m. in Founders Auditorium.

Movie Tribute

Director Ridley Scott will be in person at the Egyptian Theatre (6712 Hollywood Blvd.) for two of his movies, “Alien” (tonight) and “Blade Runner” (Friday, Sept. 21). Showtime for both movies is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $9 with valid student ID, $10 without. For more information, call (323) 466-FILM.

Benefit Dance

Sigma Alpha Epsilon presents the ULV Back to School Night from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at Casa de Salsa Restaurant and Cantina in Claremont.
