The ULV Chorale presents “Songs of Comfort in a Crying World,” featuring the Fauré Requiem tonight at 8 p.m. at the La Verne Church of the Brethren at 2425 E. Street. Entrance is free for ULV students and faculty with ID. General admission is $3.
The event will feature chamber singers, vocal jazz and members of the ULV community.
“Natural Architectures,” a landscape photography exhibit by Phil Bard, opened earlier this week and continues through Dec. 14 at the Irene Carlson Gallery of Photography in Miller Hall.
The artist will attend the reception Tuesday night from 7-9 p.m. Admission to the gallery is free and it is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, call ext. 4285.
Two new movies open this weekend in general release. The first is the drama “Heist,” starring Gene Hackman and Danny DeVito. The other is the Farrelly Brothers’ newest comedy, “Shallow Hal,” starring Jack Black and Gwyneth Paltrow.
“Cloud 9,” which premiered last night at the Dailey Theatre, continues its run at 7:30 p.m. tonight and tomorrow night, and concludes next weekend. For more information, call ext. 4386.
