Informational Forum

On Tuesday, the American Association of University Professors will host a University-wide informational forum on the ULV College of Law, including financial history, current status and future projections. Tuskegee Airmen

In accordance with the African American Student Alliance’s celebration of Black History Month, the Brothers’ Forum is hosting members of the Tuskegee Airmen, who will be speaking about their experiences as pilots during WWII in Northern Africa and Europe. The veterans will be speaking from 10-11:30 a.m. on Tuesday in Founder’s Auditorium.

Black Culture Festival

The Pomona Public Library and the Delta Sigma Theta sorority Pomona Valley Alumnae Chapter are sponsoring a Black Culture Festival tomorrow. Set to begin at noon at the Pomona Civic Center in front of the library, the event is free to the public. For more information, contact Debbie Wilson at (909) 606-2968.

Pet Pageant

Pet Bath USA and Maya Quintero of Live Oak Dog Obedience are sponsoring a “Pet Pageant and Parade,” a chance for young children to show off their pets. Judging is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the La Verne Community Center, located on 3680 D St.

Spay Day U.S.A.

The Inland Valley Humane Society of Pomona is holding a low-cost spay and neuter clinic for Spay Day U.S.A. on Tuesday. Space at the clinic is on a first-come, first-serve basis so space is limited. Additional information on appointments for the clinic, which are located at 500 Humane Way in Pomona, can be obtained by calling (909) 623-9777, extension 696.

Career Fair Workshop

The Career Development and Placement Center is holding a series of Career Fair Preparation Workshop for those interested in preparing themselves for the upcoming Career Fair. The next workshop is slated to take place from 2-3 p.m. on Tuesday at the Career Development and Placement Center. For more information, contact the center at extension 4054.

Genealogy Course

A beginning course in genealogy is being sponsored by the Friends of the Pomona Public Library on Tuesday. The class will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the library and is $10. For more information, contact Beth Page at (909) 622-4966.

National Wildlife Federation

ULV was recently recognized by the National Wildlife Federation with a number of other universities for work in environmental education, particularly for its curriculum and required education for undergraduate students.
