ULV Choir Variety Show, Spring Tour
As a fundraiser for their upcoming Spring Tour, the University of La Verne Choir will present a variety show at 8 p.m. tonight in Founders Auditorium. Featuring a wide range of musical tastes, types and selections performed by some of the most creative students on the ULV campus, this is sure to be an entertaining evening. A donation of $10 is suggested.
The choir will be performing March 24 through 27 throughout Northern California, Oregon and Idaho, wrapping up their first tour in more than six years with a performance at the La Verne Church of the Brethren located on March 28. Under the direction of Scott Farthing, the final show is promised to be a special evening of song.
General admission is $5, ULV students are admitted free.
Jonathan Rothe and A Band of Brothers
ULV graduate and faculty member Jonathan Rothe will lead a concert of guitar music heavily influenced by Latin, pop and Motown, at 8 p.m. tomorrow evening in Founders Auditorium. Joining Rothe is the instrumental group, A Band of Brothers.
ULV faculty, students find ‘Gypsy Passion’
Michael Ryan, ULV alumnus and music professor, will lead an ensemble of faculty members on March 27 in Dailey Theatre in a performance of musical pieces all influenced by the Spanish guitar.
‘Gypsy Passion’ will blend nuevo flamenco, jazz, ballads and blues. Admission is $12, students $6.
