ULV Art Galleries
All three art galleries on campus still have exhibits that are open. “Kelly Sears: the stories behind the images that had almost been forgotten” is up in the Harris Gallery until Tuesday. Jill Daves “Divots and Bumps” is on the Tall Wall Space until Dec. 20 and Caroline Burghardt’s exhibit “Cape Twilight” will be in the Carlson Gallery until Oct. 10. Admission to all three galleries is free.
Punk Show in Anaheim
Do not miss Flogging Molly, an Irish inspired punk band, playing this weekend at House of Blues in Anaheim. They will be playing for two nights: Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $22.50 and can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com.
Jazz band in Claremont
Catz in the Hatz, a contemporary jazz band from Big Bear, will be playing at the Hip Kitty Jazz Club in The Village in Claremont on Saturday. The show starts at 8 p.m. There is a $10 cover charge.
Concert at L.A. County Fair
Lifehouse and former lead singer of the band Bush, Gavin Rossdale, will be performing at the L.A. County Fair on closing day, Sunday. The show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com.
Art Gallery in Pomona
“Paradigm Shift,” an exhibit that examines the evolution of the art work of Craig French opened Sept. 5 and closes Tuesday at the Cal Poly Pomona Downtown Center. A closing reception will take place Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is free. Call 909-469-0080 for more information.
