Softball splits doubleheader

Freshman pitcher Hayley Jaquess leads the Leopards to a win in the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader, by throwing a shutout against Cal Lutheran, 2-0, at Wheeler Park. Jaquess pitched seven innings registering only five hits. Senior first baseman Raven Freret and sophomore utility player Katherine Kibbe each had an RBI single in La Verne’s winning effort.
