Leos open Campus West with split

La Verne senior second baseman George Holland steps on second to force out Occidental senior Alec Strain before faking a throw to first Saturday. Opening weekend at the new Campus West sports complex started off with a bang as the baseball team took the field against the Occidental Tigers. The Leopards split the doubleheader, losing the first game 6-3 and shutting them out in the second game, 6-0. Holland had an RBI over the weekend as well.
