ISO hosts Saudi Arabia presentation
The International Student Organization will be having a presentation about Saudi Arabia from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday in the West Dining Room.
It is a free event and everyone is welcome to come and learn.
Upcoming CAB events
On Wednesday the Campus Activities Board will give students the chance to learn how to belly dance or get body art at 10 p.m. in Davenport.
Tickets are still on sale for Winter Formal, themed Arabian Nights.
The dance will will be held at 8 p.m. on Feb. 27. at the Avalon in the Fairplex.
Pre-sale tickets cost $15 and at-the-door tickets cost $20.
The Ash Wednesday Service will be held on Wednesday in the ULV Chapel. There will be three services at noon, 5:15 p.m. and 9 p.m. which will be performed by Daniel Loera, director of multicultural affairs, and Elena Cardena, former Catholic campus minister. Steve Kinzie will sing at the noon and 5:15 p.m. services.
Ash Wednesday is the beginning of Lent, which is the 40 days leading to to Easter. It is spent as a time of reflection and repentance. Sonya Gravlee will speak about the importance of the day before the ashes are distributed.
