Sorority Kicks for Kidneys

The Phi Sigma Sigma will host a philanthropy called Kicks for Kidneys at 10 p.m. on Wednesday in the Athletics Sports Pavilion gym. Teams of five with one to two substitutions will play indoor soccer. The event costs $2 to play and $1 to watch. All proceeds will benefit the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation which supports the National Kidney Foundation. Anyone who wants to create a team to play must contact Maritza Ramirez maritza.ramirez@laverne.edu.

CAB Basketball Intramurals

The Campus Activities Board will start the basketball intramurals at 10 p.m. on Tuesday in the gym. The intramurals are a four day event and the winner will be announced on March 26. The games will be on March 24 and March 26.

Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day

The Campus Activities Board will have a green cookie event at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in front of Davenport. CAB will have an Irish dancing event at noon on Tuesday in Davenport Dining Hall. The Residence Hall Association will have a St. Patrick’s Day dance at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday in Davenport Dining Hall.

Time to get involved

The applications for Orientation Week Leader, Associated Students of the University of La Verne and Landis Leadership Scholar are due next week. The application to be an OWL is due on Mar. 18 and the other two are due on March 20. If these opportunities do not interest you, go to the CAB office to see other leadership opportunities to apply for.
