Bonita Harvest Festival

Bonita High School will host a harvest festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 3.

The La Verne Band Boosters Association will host the festival as a fundraiser to send their band and color guard members to a competition in Washington, D.C., next spring.

The event will take place in front of the high school.

There will be food, music, face painting, games, raffles, and arts and crafts booths.

Film Series

The Scripps College Humanities Institute is featuring a film series titled “Unequal We Stand: What Future for the American Middle Class?”

“Enemies of Happi­ness,” directed by Eva Mulvad and Anja Al-Erhayem, will be shown Thursday.

“The Devil Came on Horseback,” directed by Annie Sundberg, will be shown on Nov. 8.

“Ghosts of Abu Ghraib,” directed by Rory Kennedy, will be shown on Nov. 15.

“Forever,” directed by Heddy Honigmann, will be shown on Nov. 29.

“Into the Great Silence,” directed by Philip Gröning, will be shown on Dec. 6 at the Balch Auditorium.

All films will be shown at the Garrison Theater at 7:30 p.m.

Each screening is open to the public and admission is free.
