Open Forum
The Associated Student Federation (ASF) Forum will be hosting open forums on Thursday, Oct. 19, and Friday, Oct. 20, from noon-1 p.m. and 5-6 p.m. in Founder’s Auditorium to give students an arena to voice their needs and desires, which will be relayed to the administration and Board of Trustees.
Prism
Prism, the literary/art/photography magazine of ULV, is soliciting original material for its Fall issue. The deadline for the issue is Oct. 20. All students, faculty, staff and alumni are eligible to submit poetry, short stories, essays, original art or photographs for the magazine. Entrants whose work is selected for publication will, for the first time, be offered small cash prizes for the works receiving the highest ratings. There are size limitations. Fall Book Sale
The Friends of the Upland Public Library will be having a fall book sale on Oct. 18-21 in the multi-purpose room of the Upland Public Library at 450 North Euclid Avenue. Oct. 18 will only be open to members of Friends, and Oct. 21 is “Buck a Bag Day,” an opportunity to buy a bag of books for only $1. Times vary for the sale. Call (909) 985-7924 for information.
