The Associated Students Federation (ASF) Forum convened Wednesday, welcoming newly-elected members, appointing new ones and changing bylaws of its Constitution.
Additional Reps
Forum members staged an informal interview with five applicants for the two additional Forum positions. Freshman Alena Vlna, sophomore Giselle Matus, juniors Jeremy Houska, a broadcasting major; Michael Morrow, a political science major; and senior Tracy Huigens, a diversified major, were present at the meeting and answered questions from Forum members. ASF members elected Houska and Morrow.
Bylaw Changes
After a revision to the suggested bylaw changes, the Forum passed clauses giving more power to the Financial Review Board (FRB). The FRB is no longer an advisory committee to the Forum, but rather makes decisions about allocations from ASF’s financial reserves. According to the new changes, the Forum can only override an FRB allocation decision with a vote of two-thirds or more. Other changes included clarifying the wording of the bylaws.
