The Associated Students Federation (ASF) Forum convened in the West Dining Room Wednesday, electing new members to the Forum and finalizing plans for the upcoming Holiday Dinner.
Holiday Dinner
Following the theme of “Celebrate the Reason for the Season,” ASF members are still looking for faculty and staff to host tables for the Holiday Dinner. Hosts must bring a centerpiece and carving utensils.
The Holiday Dinner will take place on Tuesday in the Student Center Gym. Seating begins at 5 p.m. The University gift, which was selected by members of the Forum will also be announced at the Dinner.
Allocations
According to Forum member Mike Morrow, a junior, ASF voted to increase the Physical Improvements Committee’s allocation, adding nearly $6,000 to that budget for the better lighting project, making the total budget for the lighting project at $10,596. This amount will be transferred to the Maintenance and Operations Department.
Elections
Three nominees interviewed for the remaining three positions. ASF members voted freshmen Melody Sateri, Christine Mikusky, and sophomore Giselle Matus onto the Forum. The three had previously interviewed to be on ASF in prior special elections.
Budget
For the month of November, $5,716.77 was spent from the ASF budget. Monies came out of several committee budget allocations, including those from the Holiday Dinner, Free Day of Fun, and Promotions budgets. Of the unallocated reserves, $2,350 went out to clubs on campus, including Minority Student Affairs, Career Development and the ULV Amateur Radio Club.
