Musicantica

The ULV Department of Music Concert Series for 1996-97 continues tomorrow at 7 p.m. in Founders Auditorium as alumnus Roberto Catalano and his group Musicantica return to campus to perform traditional Italian and Sicilian music.

Renaissance Art

The J. Paul Getty Museum is exhibiting “The Making of a Hero: Alexander the Great from Antiquity to the Renaissance.” The 15-work exhibition examines the creation of the historical conqueror and continues until Jan. 5.

Senior Recital

Senior Suzanne Hamlin will perform a program of her own jazz and classical compositions. Hamlin’s recital will be held Nov. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in Founders Auditorium. Accompanied by local instrumentalists, Hamlin will incorporate music from women composers in her recital.

Movies Opening

“The Associate,” starring Whoopi Goldberg, opens today. Directed by Donald Petrie, the film centers around competitive careers on Wall Street. It is rated PG-13.

“High School High,” starring Jon Lovitz, opens in general release. It is rated PG-13.

“Stephen King’s Thinner,” starring Joe Mategna, also opens in general release today and is rated R.
