The University of La Verne’s Associated Student Federation (ASF) Forum met last Wednesday in Mainiero 52 at 9:31 a.m.
The Forum attended to the preparations for Homecoming Week, which will take place the week of Oct. 9-14 and allocated funds to two organizations. Their budget was also discussed.
Resolutions
·ASF allocated $3,180 to the theater department to pay for traveling expenses of the group ROOTS, which stands for the Regional Organization for Theater South. This group will be putting on workshops as well as putting on other events on February 22-25.
·ASF also allocated $850 to help with expenses for Sigma Kappa’s Pajama Jammy Jam event on Oct. 20.
·The Forum also discussed and approved its budget of $160,000 for the school year. An extra amount of $10,000 is being set aside for all the clubs.
·ASF will be holding a voter registration table in the Quad on Oct.3 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
·Elections for vice president of activities will be held at next week’s meeting. Applications are now available at the Student Center Desk and are due on Monday at noon.
