ASF Minutes

The University of La Verne’s Associated Students Federation (ASF) Forum met at 9:30 a.m. in the West Dining Room. The Forum discussed Homecoming Week as well as allocating funds to other organizations.

Resolutions

· Winter Extravaganza will be on Dec. 2 from 7 p.m to 1 a.m.The Dinner will begin at 7:30 p.m. Students will get a letter in their mailboxes to order tickets to the event.

·The Forum voted member Stephan Karakesisogiu out of the Forum due to absence. Special elections will take place during one of its weekly meetings.

·ASF allocated $1,000 to the Diversity Series “How Does Your Garden Grow?” for movie expenses and help co-sponsor the series.

·ASF also allocated $775 to the Computer Science Society to send them to a computer convention.

·ASF postponed allocating funds to the Student Athletic Advisory Council at this time.

The University’s annual homecoming festivities began with a 5K run on Saturday that started on the Citrus Lawn, next was the street fair on C and Second streets in front of the Campus Center, then the Mission Brewing pre-game party in the Quad. The evening ended with  the Homecoming football game

To kick off Homecoming Weekend, the Office of Alumni Engagement created the Taste of ULV for alumni to gather together and reminisce about their times at the University while also celebrating all the different places students and faculty come from. 

Taste of Talent showcases different musical acts

Several students from the music department formed a band to perform for the Taste for Talent audience in the Campus Center Ballroom on Oct. 2.
