Flushing the flood fiasco

During what Dennis Maxwell calls “preventative maintenance,” an accident caused a flood in Miller Hall. Maxwell was trying to change a diaphragm and disk to prevent leaks in the original installation when the flush valve and angle stop came off. “I moved fast. I didn’t get wet,” said a surprised Maxwell who has been working for the maintenance crew at the University of La Verne for 18 years.
