ULV’s Corporate Associates Fall Business Lecture & Luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 17 at the Sheraton Suites Fairplex. Robert G. Foster, president of Southern California Edison, will be the keynote speaker. Admission is $50 and proceeds will go toward student scholarships. Give Thanks

LVTV-3 invites community members to be on television and share “What I Have To Be Thankful For.” Participants should bring one can of food to the taping from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 18 in the LVTV studio, which is located on D Street. The Campus Times and La Verne Magazine have each won the Columbia Scholastic Press Association's Gold Medal award, the association’s top honor for overall journalism excellence – for college Newspaper/Online Hybrid, and college Magazine/Online Hybrid, respectively, for the 2024-25 academic year, the New York-based association announced late last month.

Valerie Cummings, associate professor of broadcast journalism, shared her journey of writing a memoir about the challenging and transformative year leading to the adoption of her daughter, now 24, during the faculty lecture series Tuesday in the Quay Davis Executive Board Room.
