Theater

The Theatre Arts Department will have its second showing of “The Unreasoning Mask” at 7:30 p.m. tonight in Dailey Theatre. The play was written by English professor William Cook and is a Greek tragedy that centers around the White House and the Bush administration. Directed by David Flaten, theatre department chairman, additional shows will include Dec. 6 and 7 at 7:30 p.m. There will be a special showing of the play at 2 p.m., Dec. 7. Ensemble

The University of La Verne West African Drum Ensemble will perform at 8 p.m., Dec. 8, in Founders Auditorium. The concert will be directed by Steve Biondo and feature Joseph Peck’s Steel Drum Orchestra as special guests. General admission is $5 and free for ULV students. Concert

The Music Department will present the University Chorale and Chamber Singers in its annual “Candlelight Christmas” concert at 8 p.m., Dec. 11, in Founders Auditorium. The concert will feature holiday music to ring in the season. General admission is $5, and free for students. Additional performances include Dec. 12 and 13.

Fairplex

Cirque du Soleil’s “Varekai,” opened Dec. 4 at the Fairplex and will run through Dec. 28.

Performances are 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m.; 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays; 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sundays.

Ticket prices range from $60 to $80 and can be purchased at www.cirqueclub.com.
