The Music Department will present the Women’s and Men’s Choral Concert at 8 p.m., Nov. 21 in Founders Auditorium. General admission is $5 and free for ULV students.
The University of La Verne Jazz Ensemble will perform at 8 p.m., Dec. 2, in Founders Auditorium. Directed by J. Mike O’Neal, general admission for the concert is $5 and free for ULV students.
As part of the Music Department’s “Music on the Quad” series, the West African Drum Ensemble will perform at noon Dec. 3 in the University Quad. This event is free and will feature Steven Biondo and special guests.
The University of La Verne’s Theatre Arts will begin its run of “The Unreasoning Mask,” at 7:30 p.m., Dec. 4, in Dailey Theatre. Directed by David Flaten, Theatre Department chairman, additional shows will include Dec. 5, 6 and 7. There will be a special showing of the play at 2 p.m., Dec. 7. Opening in theaters today are “Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat,” starring Mike Myers and Alec Baldwin; “Gothika,” starring Halle Berry; and “21 Grams,” starring Sean Penn.
At the top of this week’s Billboard charts is rapper Jay-Z’s “The Black Album,” selling 463,000 copies in its opening week. Rounding out the top three are Tupac Shakur’s “Resurrection,” selling 430,000 copies and G-Unit’s “Beg for Mercy,” selling 377,000 copies.
