Interterm in Greece

A new class has just been added for Interterm called The Greek Experience. Students will be able to travel to Greece and receive up to 5 units credit. The class will count for and or Core 320 the Human Condition or Core 310 International/Intercultural Experience. The class can also be taken as a humanities or behavioral science electives. The organizational meetings will be held Oct. 2 and Oct 3 at noon in Founders Hall 111. One does not need to be a registered ULV student to attend the trip. Country Fair

Hillcrest’s annual Country Fair and Open House will be held tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a multitude of events and activities to partake in. Music, crafts, antiques, woodcrafts, records and a pie eating contest will be featured. Hillcrest is located at 2705 Mountain View Drive. All proceeds benefit the Hillcrest Benevolent Fund. Celebration

The Coalition for Diversity and Institute for Multicultural Research and Campus Diversity are sponsoring a celebration to honor of Elena Cardeña, former Catholic campus minister. The vent is planned to celebrate her accomplishments at the University. It will be held Oct. 3 at 4 p.m. in the President’s Dining Room.

Excavate in Israel

Students can join the archaeological excavation in Israel next summer. Students can earn ULV credit and participate in a five week field school and a one week tour of Israel and Jordan. If interested contact Jonathan Reed in room Miller 213 or at ext. 4366 or email at reedj@ulv.edu.

Lambda

Lambda is looking for students who have experience in yearbook or are just interested in working on this year’s Lambda. They can pick up an application in Student Resource Center room 104 or contact Sue Lindley at ext. 4765 or e-mail her at lindleys@ulv.edu.

VFW Meeting

Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Claremont/La Verne Post 11128 will have a meeting Oct. 18 at noon. The meeting will be held at the Round Table Pizza in Claremont located at 408 West Claremont Auto Center Drive. The meeting is open to all qualified veterans.
