·Tickets for the first Spork Festival on Dec. 2, in Glendora are now on sale and available at all Family Christian Bookstores, or at www.PromiseLandProductions.com.
·The OC Supertones, Plankeye, Flight 180, and Off the Record, will play on Saturday at the Bren Events Center at UC Irvine at 4 p.m. For tickets or information, call (949) 824-5000.
·Pearl Jam will play at the Greek Theatre on Oct. 24, and tickets go on sale Sunday.
·Wyclef Jean, De La Soul and Black Eyed Peas will play at the Santa Barbara Bowl on Nov. 4. Tickets go on sale Sunday.

·”Billy Elliot,” staring Jamie Bell, is the story of a coal miner’s son who follows his dream to be a dancer and defies his father’s wishes to pursue ballet.
·”Lost Souls,” the scary movie of this generation being compared to “The Exorcist,” opens today and stars Winona Ryder and Ben Chaplin.
Leisure
·The Pumpkin Festival at Cal Poly Pomona allows festival-goers to pick their own pumpkin from the college’s patch. Also games, food, music, and more. Saturday and Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $4, and $3 for students and children.
·Dia De Los Muertos/Day of the Dead, One Colorado Courtyard, Colorado Boulevard between Fair Oaks and Delacey Avenue in Pasadena. A celebration featuring art workshops, and performances. Saturday, 3 to 6 p.m., and also on Oct. 21, and 28.
