LVTV

La Verne Community Television invites local residents to gather at Veterans Hall on Bonita Avenue and Wheeler Avenue on Monday, Nov. 13, between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. to share what they are thankful for. The program will be videotaped and aired on Thanksgiving evening. All are encouraged to bring canned foods for donation to charity. For more information, call LVTV at (909) 392-2731.

Theater

Director Steven Kent presents an adaptation of Paul Foster’s “Tom Paine” in Dailey Theatre. The play started last night, but still has upcoming shows tonight, Saturday night, and Nov. 16-18 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. The play is described as a “funny, bawdy, rowdy, outrageous musical spectacle about the man who wrote ‘Common Sense.’ ”

Dailey Theatre will also present “Oleanna” on Nov. 30, and Dec. 1, 2, and 7-9, at 7:30 p.m. For reservations call (909) 593-3511, ext. 4386.

Concerts

The Spork Festival has changed its headlining band from Dogwood to Pax 2-17. Other bands include L.A. Symphony, Flight 180, Off The Record, Broken Cedars, SevenTen and more. The concert is on Dec. 2, starting at 4 p.m. It will be broadcast live by Planet Rock Radio, KFSG 96.3 FM. Special appearances by Exodus Skate Shop, Active Ride Shop and Trinity Clothing Company. Tickets are available for $10 presale, at local Lighthouse Christian Bookstores, the Grace Church office, or online at www.promiselandproductions.com. Tickets at the door will be $12.
