ASULV announces new president, vice president

After a tight race, junior Bethie Ross and freshman David Asbra were elected as the 2013-2014 Associated Students of the University of La Verne president and executive vice president respectively Wednesday.

Ross and Asbra ran against Ziggy Azacron and Christian Pickett.

Ross will be succeeding Ava Jahanvash and Asbra will be succeeding Michael Wahba.

Ross is currently serving as senator pro tempore for ASULV and Asbra is currently serving as a senator at large for the student body government.

Their focus for the upcoming year involves three main agenda items: parking, commuters and residential life, according to the ASULV website.

They also say they will bring clarity to all pertinent topics regarding the student body.
