Chorale Concert

The University of La Verne Chorale and Chamber Singers will be performing at 8 p.m. tonight and tomorrow in Founders Auditorium. This concert will be a presentation of choral music celebrating some of the finest texts of all time. General admission is $5 and students are free.

The Wiltern

DKNY presents Vanity Fair “In Concert,” featuring Lucinda Williams, Aimee Mann, Neil Finn, Joe Henry, John Doe, Rosey and more. Doors open at 6 p.m. on Nov. 5. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Step Up Women’s Network, which has granted almost $1 million for breast cancer research. For tickets or more info go to www.ticketmaster.com.

Getty Museum

The Getty Research Institute presents “Landscapes of Myth” from Nov. 5 to Feb. 2, 2003. The exhibit explores artists’ interpretations of legendary settings in Greek mythology. The Getty Center is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Admission is always free. Parking is $5 per car.

In Theaters

Premiering in theaters this weekend is “The Santa Clause 2,” starring Tim Allen as Scott Calvin/Santa Claus. This follow up to the 1994 hit has Santa Claus on the search for a Mrs. Claus whom he must find and marry by Christmas Eve, a month away. If he does not find one he will lose his position as Santa forever.
