Thompson hosts tournament for Be Perfect

Members of team The Zoo, sophomore Nick Byrd and senior Daniel McDonnell attempt to block Super BA Oaks member freshman Samuel Geller’s spike during the first set of the Play For Change Tournament Tuesday at Frantz Athletic Court. Junior Cassie Thompson hosted the tournament for HONR 331: Advocacy, where she had to pick a charity to support. Thompson chose the Be Perfect Foundation, founded by ULV alumni Hal Hargrave. The foundation is a non-profit organization that provides direct financial and emotional aid to individuals living with paralysis and all the proceeds made went to this. The Sets on the Beach team won the overall tournament.
